New Car!

Well, Saturday we went back to the Mazda dealership and they had sold the car we originally wanted. The 2013 Mazda Cx 5 was just released and our town only had 2... Needless to say, EVERYONE wanted them! Thankfully we got there early and they still had the second one left. We started paperwork immediately, and as we were waiting about 4 people came to look at it and try to talk us out of it! Ha! A State Trooper even joked about giving us a ticket. :) We are SO happy we were able to get this car, we have dealt with 2, 2 door cars for the past 2 years. The CX5 is All Wheel Drive, so I'm able to actually drive in winter and feel safe.

We decided to wait on the house while we go on Vacation. If it's still available when we get back, we will move forward. ( I SOOOO hope it is!! )

Life..

So today we drove about 65 miles out of town to go look at a HOUSE!! Yes! We think we have found the perfect property to get our homesteading life started! The property itself is 10 acres, has a chicken coop, some raised garden beds, a stable, covered porch.. 4 bedrooms and a loft! I am smitten! I forgot to take pictures but I'll share the ones from the AD. We also went to look at new cars today because the Mazda dealership called Aaron saying they had 2 brand new 2013 CX 5s in stock if he wanted to check them out. We drove one .. and needless to say we are going back tomorrow to buy it! Happy dance!
The photos of this hose do not do it an ounce of justice, its simply gorgeous inside!

A bit of sewing..

Tonight Aaron went to bed early because he has his final test tomorrow!! After he passes this test, he will be a Journeyman Electrician! It's taken him 6 long years and over 8,000 working hours to get to this point. I'm beyond proud! I bought myself a new diaper sewing pattern to try out. I got the Darling Diapers unlimited, and it was incredibly detailed, and easy to follow! Hopefully if we have another baby, I'll be able to make a lot of the cute, teeny newborn diapers! :) I am in NO way a pro or trying to be, this is just something to keep me occupied.
Here is a medium:

Yesterday, Amelia painted on for the first time. I'm so proud of my little girl, I let her choose the colors and right off the bat she chose Purple and Yellow, complimentary colors! Whoop! :) Happy mama right here. She was in the nude during her art session because..... dun dun dun.. SHE IS POTTY TRAINING!! Yep! My 22 month old is almost 100% potty trained! Im hoping she will be out of diapers except for out and about and night time while we are on vacation.
